Halo infinite: the main narrative designer says that the grunts are less cowardly than before

It seems fair to say that the recently released Halo infinite offers a new and improved look at everything within its universe, which is basically a need given the long gap between its launch and the 2015 Halo 5: Guardians. But although a new understanding of characters such as Master Chief and Cortana was basically a fact, the title also provides an updated perspective on the humblest minion of the franchise. According to Halo Infinite Aaron Linde, the main narrative designer, the grunts of the banished are less cowardly than before, although perhaps no more effective.

One thing that I'm really happy to see that people realize is the greatest degree of confidence in the grunts, Linde said. GamesRadar + as part of a broader email interview. We wanted to convey them a sense of significant change as part of the undressed a little more egalitarian, where they have more equity, or at least more than in the Covenant, where they had no, and more philosophical purchase. As a result, they are still cowardly and are still treated terribly by their peers, but they are on an equal footing with others, although it is only constitutionally. And you will hear it reflected in the other species. From time to time also, particularly the elites ('Go, little warrior!').

Halo Infinite - The Secret Cowardly Grunt

In essence, Linde postulates that the grunts have received the slightest impulse as possible and have made them even more dangerous (and fun) for it. It remains to be seen if this is still a thread to explore in future deliveries, but it is likely that players do not get tired of the small creatures that chat without meaning with an undeserved pride.

As for the video game itself, Halo infinite is currently available for Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One and PC. You can check all our previous coverage of the last and best Halo title here.

What do you think of the Affirmation of Linde that the grunts are less cowardly than before in Halo Infinite ? Have you already noticed it in the video game?
