Resident Evil Showrunner reveals whether they have planned the future of the Netflix series
from Netflix resident Evil The series seeks to cause a stir when it opens this summer. The series will be the first live action series in the history of the franchise. The most recent live action project, Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City, received negative criticism and did not go so well at the box office. Now the future of the franchise is in the hands of the series. As with all the series, each writer has an idea about how to finish their project, and it seems that the Andrew Dabb showrunner is no different. While we talked to a group of journalists, we had the opportunity to ask Dabb if he has his resident evil set series.
«Yes, I think, you know, obviously, hopefully, there is not‘ would be ’here. But hopefully it is an ongoing series. I think we have a map. As, you have to realize, I left Sobrenatural. And when I joined Sobrenatural the fourth season, I remember sitting in a room with Eric Kripke, "Dabb revealed." The first day, he said: ‘Look, boys, the fourth season is the last season. We have syndication numbers now, as if they were going to kill ourselves, we have been a bubble show all the time. And then, next season, the fifth is like, well, now this is really the last. I have a five -year plan, ’and he was right. It was the last season for him. But then the show continued for 10 more years. So, I don't want to sit here and say, you know, what, we have 96 episodes, we will get where we have to go ».
Fans of the franchise should be super excited by his comments because he could mean that we could see much more of the franchise if he is doing well. The showrunner continued to reveal that the Netflix series has an end in mind, and the way they get that end depends on how well it works in the transmission service. He also joked where the plot of resident Evil could go.
«The truth of the matter is that we have an end. And we can progress quickly or slowly. Obviously, the longer we are in the air, the more fun things we can do and more things can do ». to bring. But yes, I think you have to start this with a stone carved in stone, because you have to discover ideas along the way. But with an idea of where you go with the characters, ”Dabb continued. «Not so much with, you know, what is that liquor number seven in five years, do you know what I mean? But where will these girls be? Where will Wesker be? How did these things work? I will see winks to that, particularly in future history with small indications of things that will happen in history to lead to history Z, which is future history. And I think he creates a little of a... you have left the first season with questions such as, ‘Oh, but if they said this, but how do they get there?’ Well, I hope that is answered ».
Netflix describes the series as follows: «Year 2036: 14 years after a deadly virus caused a global apocalypse, Jade Wesker struggles to survive in a world invaded by insane and infected creatures thirsty for blood. In this absolute butcher shop, Jade is persecuted by her past in New Raccoon City, by her father's chilling connections with the Umbrella corporation, but especially for what she happened to her sister, Billie.
